
Keeping Your Class 100 Cleanroom Actually Clean
If you’re running a Class 100 (ISO 5) cleanroom, you already know the nightmare of contamination. One tiny flake of dust or a weird chemical smell in the air, and your whole batch is trash. The problem is that most heaters just aren’t built for this. They flake. They off-gas. They basically leak “junk” into your air the second they get hot. We decided to fix that by using carbon fiber infrared (IR) tech wrapped in high-purity synthetic quartz.
How it actually works
Think about old-school metal coils. They oxidize. They wear down. They’re messy. Our carbon fiber filaments are different. They stay stable. We seal them inside a quartz envelope that acts like a vault—nothing gets out, and nothing gets in. Plus, we use a specific type of quartz that handles “thermal shock.” You can cycle the power up and down quickly without worrying about the tube cracking.
No shortcuts on the build
We’re obsessed with the details here. That means no cheap plastics. No sketchy adhesives. None of that stuff that smells like burning rubber when it heats up. Every seal and electrode is picked specifically to stop off-gassing. It’s just clean. One quick heads-up, though: quartz is tough against heat, but it’s still glass. If your gear vibrates a lot, don’t just bolt these in. Use dampened brackets. Trust me, you don’t want a snapped tube in the middle of a shift.
Getting it running
The best part? These lamps blast heat exactly where you need it—on the workpiece—instead of heating up the entire room. Your HVAC system will thank you. When you’re wiring them up, just keep an eye on your power controllers. Avoid those sudden current spikes. A big surge can stress the filament and kill the lamp way sooner than it should. Most of the time, these are a simple drop-in replacement for your existing curing or drying lines. Just swap them out and get back to work.
