Dealing with Steam and Water
Water and electricity don’t mix. Period. To keep things safe, we wrap the heating elements in tempered glass or specialized quartz tubes with tight seals. We also run the wiring through moisture-resistant conduits. This stops steam from creeping in and eating away at the terminals over time. You’ll notice we use R7s or similar heavy-duty connectors. There’s a reason for that. When these tubes heat up fast, they physically expand. These connectors can handle that movement without loosening, so you don’t end up with a flickering heater or a dead connection.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Here’s the catch: this kind of power puts a real load on your electrical system. If you’re putting a few of these in a small changing area,**check your breaker first.**These units pull a lot of current the moment they kick on. You don’t want to trip your power every time you want to get warm. And a quick tip on where to put them: the angle matters. Mount them too high, and the heat doesn’t feel as intense.
