Ever stepped out of a shower into a freezing cold dressing area? It’s the worst. Most heaters try to warm up the air in the room, but in a damp bathroom, that takes forever. The heat just drifts away. That’s why we built these mirror heaters differently. We don’t bother with the air. Instead, we use shortwave infrared radiation to send heat straight to your skin and clothes. It’s basically instant. Inside the unit, there’s a tungsten filament tucked into a quartz tube with halogen gas. Without that gas, the filament would just burn out. With it, we can crank the temperature way up. The result? But the mirror part isn’t just for looks. Behind the tube, we put a high-reflectivity aluminum reflector. Without it, half the heat would just soak into your wall—which is a waste. The reflector pushes all that warmth forward, angling the beam so it covers you from your shoulders down to your waist. Since this is going in a bathroom, we had to get serious about the moisture. We use sealed connectors so the humidity doesn’t cause rust or short circuits. Just a heads-up: these lamps pull a lot of power the moment they kick on, so make sure your circuit breaker can handle the spike. One thing to keep in mind: these are built for speed, not for keeping the whole room cozy. The second you turn the power off, the heat stops. If you’re looking to keep the entire room at a steady 22°C all day, you’ll want to pair these with a standard heater. But for that “I need to be warm right now” feeling? This is the way to go.
