When you’re looking at ceiling infrared lamps, it’s tempting to just go for the biggest number on the box. But that’s not really how it works. It’s more about finding that sweet spot where the heat actually keeps up with how fast your bathroom loses warmth. Let’s talk about room size. If you’ve got a tiny powder room—you know, those little spaces under 4m²—a 250W to 400W lamp is usually plenty. You’ll feel that cozy warmth almost instantly. But for those big master baths (around 8m² to 12m²), one small lamp isn’t going to cut it. You’ll either need a few smaller units spread out or a heavy hitter in the 600W+ range. Here’s the thing: if you go too big, you end up with a “hot spot” right under the lamp while your toes are still freezing in the corner. Go too small, and you’re just standing there shivering, waiting for the room to actually feel warm. Placement is everything. Remember, infrared doesn’t heat the air.
