Technical Deep-Dive
We went with 400V because it runs off standard industrial power, which keeps the current lower than a 230V unit of the same wattage. That means you can use smaller wiring, smaller contactors, and you won’t end up with a hotbox in your control panel. And the 2500W packed into a 300mm tube? It’s concentrated power. Enough to heat small zones fast, without forcing you to over-engineer the whole system.
Material & Design
Inside, the halogen capsule keeps the filament stable even when the heat is cranked up. That’s what gives you steady, consistent output over time. The quartz envelope handles sudden temperature swings and lets you pack a lot of heat into a small space. And the R7s double-ended connector? It’s just practical. It locks in place, carries the full current, and swapping the tube takes minutes instead of messing around with splices.
